~1700 Map titled "Planisphaerum Terrestre cum otroque Colesti Hemisphaeio"
A beautiful double hemisphere map circa 1700 of the world named" Planisphaerum Terrestre cum otroque Colesti Hemisphaeio" It contains a lot of written information all over the map. That map reads that Peter Schenk was the publisher and Adam Heinrich Zurner is the cartographer.(See Pictures) The paper appears very old, of high quality paper. with plate marks and hand coloring . There is a crinkle in the bottom left that appears to have happened pre-printing, during the laying of the paper. There are also two fox spots below the bottom edge.(See Picture). It is printed in Latin. The printed area measures 8 by 9 1/2 inches. And the paper measures 15 by 18 inches. This is a very unique map, readable with a loop or glass documenting of the information herein.
