1812 Map of France
Yet another rare map of France! It comes from “the new and elegant general atlas, comprising all the new discoveries, to the present time.”Containing sixty-three maps, drawn by Arrowsmith and Lewis. Intended to accompany the new improved edition of Morse's Geography, but was equally well calculated to be used with his Gazetteer, or any other geographical work. Published in Boston by Thomas & Andrews. Sold at their bookstore, no. 45, Newbury-Street, and by the principal booksellers in the United States. May, 1812.
The map shows France with its townships, departments, and waterways , detailed mountain ranges, and parts of the surrounding countries. It has just the right amount of patina and will be an excellent addition to any collection. We’d also be happy to have it custom framed and preserved with 99% UV resistant glass or acrylic!
